Digital Reality Audit
Find out why search and AI describe you wrongly, and what to correct first.
For companies whose main problem is being misunderstood: outdated facts, contradictory sources, the wrong category, or an AI description that no longer matches the business.
In plain terms, a fact-check of how search and AI describe your company. We trace where each important claim comes from, find the conflicting evidence, and help correct the gaps that matter.

- Fixed scope, agreed up front
The problem
Your company has changed and the internet has not caught up. A search for your name, a knowledge panel or an AI answer describes an older or incomplete version of the business, and nobody can say where that version is coming from.
What we do
- Establish what is actually true: the company facts, claims and positioning that should be represented.
- Compare it with what you say across the sources you control: the website, profiles, structured data and documents.
- Map what the wider web says: third-party sources, databases, directories and the references search and AI systems rely on.
- Test how search engines and AI systems describe you, and trace each important claim back to its source.
- Find the conflicting information and the missing evidence, and rank each correction by what it costs you.
The framework behind it
The audit applies the Digital Reality Gap, an open framework PageRadar developed. It compares three versions of a company: Business Reality, what is true; Stated Reality, what you publish; and Internet Reality, what search, AI and third parties conclude.
This is the Digital Reality Gap applied directly: the distance between what is true about you, what you say, and what the internet understands, measured claim by claim.
See the full frameworkWhat you leave with
- An inventory of the claims that matter, and how each is represented across search, AI and third-party sources.
- The conflicting information and the missing evidence, with where each problem originates.
- A DRG Score across clarity, trust alignment, intent fit and visibility readiness.
- Prioritised corrections: what to fix first, where, and who can fix it.
Why it compounds
Search engines and AI systems repeat what the wider web agrees on. An outdated fact shared by three sources becomes the answer, and every month it stands it is cited again.
Systems reviewed
- Google Search, knowledge panels and AI Overviews
- ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot
- Wikidata and the knowledge sources behind entity records
- Business databases, directories and professional profiles
- The third-party sources these systems cite about you
After the findings
Findings are delivered in a working session. Most of what we find can be corrected, and PageRadar can make many of the corrections itself: profile updates, structured data, Wikidata and the third-party sources that matter.
Who it is for
- Companies after a rebrand, merger, leadership change or repositioning.
- Teams who have seen an AI answer or a knowledge panel describe them incorrectly.
Common questions
How is this different from the SEO and GEO Audit?
The SEO and GEO Audit starts from search performance: why you are not being found. This starts from representation: why you are found and described wrongly. Some companies need one, some need both, and the SEO and GEO Audit says when that is the case.
Is this an AI fact checker?
That is part of it. We check how search and AI describe your company, trace conflicting evidence to its source and help correct the important gaps. The scope is wider than AI answers, because they are built from the same evidence as everything else.
Can you fix what you find?
Much of it. Profile corrections, structured data, Wikidata and many third-party sources can be corrected directly. Some sources take persuasion and time, and we say which is which.
