Coravin holds a category it effectively created. That position brings a particular kind of exposure: the visibility is valuable, established, and easy to damage with an incautious change.

Growth had to come from somewhere new, and the obvious moves all carried risk to what already worked. Meanwhile the company’s digital representation was organised around the product as it launched rather than the market as it is now.

We started with what was already earning attention and why, separating the visibility that came from the brand from the visibility that came from the category. From there we looked for demand adjacent to the existing position: questions the market was already asking that Coravin was entitled to answer.

We provided strategic support to strengthen what was working, and defined new growth channels that extended the category rather than competing with it. Priorities were set so that nothing in the roadmap put existing visibility at risk.

A clearer separation between the visibility worth defending and the visibility worth building, and a growth path the team could pursue without gambling the category position.

Start with what the market can see.

A conversation is enough to know whether there is a gap worth closing.
